Donnie Erwin, a military veteran, was living in the Ozarks in 2013.
On December 29, Donnie left his home to run to the store and get a pack of cigarettes. He got into his 2002 Hyundai and drove off, never to be seen again.
Donnie was reported missing, and a search for the veteran began. The search also included his missing 2002 Hyundai Elantra.
Had Donnie left town? Or, had something happened to him?
Since he had vanished along with his car, some water sources were searched. Did he have an accident and drive into a waterway? Could he have even done it on purpose?
Donnie had some health issues, which included an amputated left leg and an artificial hip.
It would be that hip that would help identify his remains ten years later.
James Hinkle, a videographer who runs the YouTube channel Echo Divers, felt a connection to Donnie’s case. Donnie was a disabled veteran and James lived just an hour and a half from where Donnie had vanished in Camden County, Missouri. James knew he could help.
