Vanished While Walking to School: The 1973 Disappearance of Shirley
Shirley Magee was enjoying her summer break in July of 1973. She was living in Chicago, Illinois, and was just 12 years old.
On the morning of July 26, Shirlee left her home to walk toward Harlan High School. It is unknown what her plans were that day if she was meeting anyone, or who had last seen her.
But Shirley never made it home.
She was never seen or heard from again.
Shirley is described as an African American female with black hair, chin length, and brown eyes. She stood about 5' tall and weighed around 80 pounds when she was last seen. She was only 12 years old, and would today be 63.
Little girls do not just vanish into thin air. Someone knows something.
If anyone has any information on the case of Shirlee Magee, please contact the Chicago Police Department at 312–747–5789.
