When you head out on a cruise, you’re most likely thinking about suntan lotions, umbrella cocktails, and endless buffets. You’re not likely to be thinking about disappearing without a trace.
Yet that is what has happened to over 250 people on cruise ships in the last ten years.
Are these accidental cases of falling overboard? Or, perhaps foul play? Maybe even a case of kidnapping?
The following people have disappeared from cruise ships, and their cases remain a mystery.

George Allen Smith disappeared while on his honeymoon in July 2005. George and his new bride, Jennifer, were taking a two-week Royal Caribbean Cruise from Greece to Turkey. They had spent the evening in question drinking and both became heavily intoxicated. Their onboard neighbor claims to have heard some yelling and arguing, followed by a loud ‘thump’.
