Damon Bonds went missing March 27, 2004 from Anchorage, Alaska. He was 31 years old at the time. He was last known to be at his infant son’s mother’s house that evening, and left around 8:00 pm.
No one saw or heard from Damon after that.
Several days later, Damon’s black Ford F250 was found abandoned at Delong Lake parking lot on Jewel Lake Road in Anchorage. Damon’s cell phone was on the front seat, but even more alarming- his dog Skully was left in the truck also. Damon didn’t go anywhere without his dog. Family said he would also never abandon his infant son.
Damon grew up in Houston, Texas, went to High School in California and then moved to Anchorage, Alaska for work. He fell in love with that area, and had been there for five years before he disappeared.
Since he was from out of state originally, and his family still resides in Houston, Texas, police checked all airlines for any activity of flights he may have taken. None were found, at least nothing that was registered in his name.
The family made regular trips to Alaska to search for Damon and keep his case in the public eye the best they could. As time went on, they continued to try and raise money to fund their search. As you can imagine, those continued trips became more and more expensive, especially traveling from…
