It has been a trying year. Covering missing person cases is a never-ending job, there are always more missing persons. And sadly, the rate of solving cases and finding people is still well behind the rate of people that go missing.
Some of these people were found this year. People who we’ve featured on the podcast prior and who were found or recovered in 2023.
Glenda Parton and her son, Dewayne Selby disappeared from their home in Turley, Oklahoma in October 2021. A third man disappeared with them, Jack Grimes and he was discovered deceased on the property a month later.
In August 2023 remains were found in a field just 100 yards from Selby’s ranch. Those remains were tentatively identified as Glenda and Dewayne.
In September 2023, a man by the name of John Goode was charged with their murder. He had also been charged and convicted in another murder just months earlier. John Goode was living on their property at the time of the murder. A motive was not released.
