The loyalty of a dog is unmatched.

On March 16, 2022, authorities received a missing person report for 29-year old Oscar Alejandro Hernandez.

He had last been seen driving in the area of Griffith Park around 2:30 a.m. Family, friends, and law enforcement spent days searching for Oscar, his 2004 Ford Explorer, and his loyal dog, King, a beautiful golden retriever.

Griffith Park is an expansive area, on the north side of Los Angeles. The park is home to the infamous Hollywood Sign, Merry-Go-Round, an Amphiteatre, and a plethora of hiking trails and caves to explore as well. With over 4,000 acres, there is something for everyone.

When Oscar was reported missing, the park was the area of focus. There had been sightings of him near the Merry-Go-Round section, which also included nearby trails.

Searchers scoured the area, but for weeks, there was no sign of Oscar, or his dog, King.
