Milwaukee Teen Vanishes in Broad Daylight: Where is Joniah Walker?

Joniah Walker was enjoying her newfound summertime freedom on June 23, 2022. School was out for the summer, and Joniah had a new job at a local Milwaukee Pizza Shop called The Pizza Shuttle.

Joniah had recently turned 15, and a summer job seemed perfect for the young girl. A young girl who had been struggling with some depression and PTSD, but with regular visits with a therapist and a new job to help keep her spirits up, Joniah’s future was bright.

She is described as a quiet and shy girl, so working at the pizza place may help her come out of her shell and give her some summer spending money.

On Thursday, June 23, 2022, Joniahs mother, Tanesha Howard, went in to say goodbye to Joniah before leaving for work herself. Joniah was lying in bed and told her mom she’d text her later.

Throughout the day, the two exchanged a few texts. This was normal behavior, Joniah and her mom spoke all throughout the day, every day. So when Joniah suddenly went radio silent in the afternoon, Tanesha was immediately concerned.

Joniah’s father was scheduled to pick up Joniah at 3:30 to take her to get her worker’s permit for the pizza shop. He showed up for his daughter, but couldn’t find her anywhere.
