Lee was an inspiration to so many, I only hope deep down she knew that.

Lee was reported missing on March 25, 2021. Her phone, keys, wallet & all personal belongings were left at her home. A search ensued, and on March 26, 2021 Lee was found.

We aren’t here to discuss her death, but rather her life.

Her YouTube channel, Life with Lee, had over 48,000 subscribers as of March 2021. Previously, she was a vlogger with her then boyfriend, Max, on a channel under their names together- Max & Lee. They traveled the world in a minimalist lifestyle in a van. They broke up in late 2019, and in 2020, Lee would venture out on her own in social media, building her own van to once again, travel the world.

Lee came forward and posted a poignant video expressing her battles with depression and the uncertainty she felt. She also said she had a plan to move herself forward, and a few videos would follow, showing her doing just that.

Lee put into words what so many people feel, but have trouble expressing.

She was a beautiful young woman, with many friends & much life yet to be lived. I know her pain must have been extreme for her to result to the ending that she did.

Don’t let her death go under the radar. Let this be a reminder, people are fighting battles we know nothing about. Stay kind, stay present, reach out. Share Lee’s story and show support by using the hashtag: #speakupforlee

RIP Lee Macmillan. We may have never met personally, but I will never forget the life (and the light) that you shared with the world.
