“I Was A Monster.” Killer Raymond Moody Pleads Guilty to the Murder of Brittanee Drexel.
BRITTANEE DREXEL.
Brittany Drexel, like many young people (and older), went to Myrtle Beach with some friends in April 2009. Brittanee was just 17, and her parents had told her she could not go. Brittanee went anyways.
Brittanee was not having a great time in Myrtle Beach. She had argued with the friends she went with, and her boyfriend, who had remained back home in Rochester, New York, tried to help her through it on the phone.
That is, until Brittanee stopped answering her phone and responding to text messages.
Her boyfriend, John, had no choice but to go to her parents. He was worried. And her parents, although angry at her for disobeying and sneaking off, were also very worried and hopped in the car to head down to Myrtle Beach.
Brittanee Drexel was officially reported as missing on April 25, 2009.
BRITTANEE DREXEL: A MISSING PERSON INVESTIGATION.
The search for Brittanee was intense. Her face was put up on billboards and the media rolled with the story. A pretty young, 17-year-old girl, vanishing from a very popular spring break destination had made national headlines.
