Mother and Daughter Missing in California: Where are Dolores & Vivian?

Dolores Sakamoto struggled with dementia and relied on her family to help her. Her daughter, Vivian, was one of the main people who looked out for her mother.

But Vivian, at age 64, was also beginning to struggle with remembering everything she needed to do.

The family was close. They got together frequently, and they were avid churchgoers.

In fact, it was the church they were headed to on July 21, 2024. With Vivian driving and Dolores in the passenger seat, they left their home that morning to go to Calvary Chapel Church in Chico, California.

Later that day, they were supposed to go to their neighbor’s house.

They never did return to the neighbor’s home that day. As the night wore on, everyone began to worry about the two women.

The next day, July 22nd, the neighbor called and reported the mother and daughter missing.

Authorities were able to piece together a trail of clues, but nothing leading to Dolores and/or Vivian. They seemed to be driving to locations that didn’t make sense to family, and they began to fear that someone else was involved.
