Brittanee Drexel FOUND after 13-years: When Spring Break Turns Deadly in Myrtle Beach

In April of 2009, Brittanee Drexel was like most 17-year-old girls. She wanted to spend most of her time hanging out with friends, and when a group of her friends told her they were going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Spring Break, Brittanee wanted to go too.
Brittanee did ask her mom, Dawn, if she could go, but was told no. Her mother didn’t know everyone that was planning on going and wasn’t comfortable with her daughter traveling so far on her own. Brittanee and her mom had a fight, and on April 22, 2009, Brittanee went to spend the night at her friend’s.
Dawn knew her daughter was upset and figured she could spend a few days with her friend and things would cool down.
Brittanee, however, would make a decision that would change her life. Brittanee, against her mom’s wishes and without her mom knowing, decided to leave her town of Chili, New York, and head to Myrtle Beach with her friends anyway.
